President Barack Obama now claims that the illegal aliens, to whom he
purports to grant what effectively is amnesty, are “Americans … in every
single way but one — on paper.” That is false. I believe the President is cleverly parsing words. People who live in
the America’s, which includes North America and the USA are by
definition “Americans”. But what does it take to be a US Citizen, which is actually the subject.
According to the Oath of Allegiance to the United States. (1) Allegiance
to the United States Constitution, (2) renunciation of allegiance to
any foreign country to which the immigrant has had previous allegiances
(3) defense of the Constitution against enemies “foreign and domestic”
(4) promise to serve in the United States Armed Forces when required by
law (either combat or non-combat) (5) promise to perform civilian duties
of “national importance” when required by law. Anyone seriously
believe that the majority of even a significant minority of those
illegal aliens actually believe in the above? Yes they are Americas, but
the have not met the fundamental requirements to be US citizens.
